As the first week of the MA draws to a close, thoughts and reflections bubble to the surface.
In this first blog post of all I’ll reflect a little bit on what’s new and my plans for the module and the course as a whole.
Click here for some thoughts on critical reflection.
Agile development and the Scrum methodology are words I’ve heard before but hadn’t seen in practice yet. The course material gave me an understanding of what it is, how it works and what to expect from this project management technique - but I’m going to read more of the literature around it to understand it better and be able to make full advantage of it.
In a first instance however, as a result of the course material I thought it would be good to have a stab at making my own product backlog for the course / module which for the moment looks like this:
I can use UX software like Figma and Adobe XD confidently
I can create and manage a UX project from start to finish
I can ask my users the right questions
I can ask myself the right questions
I can bring my other interests into UX
For this first module I am going to focus on the software and reflective side of things.
My sprint backlog for the following few weeks is then:
I am comfortable using Adobe XD to create new projects outside of what I see in tutorials
I frequently use academic underpinning in my reflections
I read widely to develop a critical self-reflective approach
