I have followed the GIBBS reflective method for this blogpost (cited in The University of Edinburgh 2023), you can learn more about it here.

✅ Description

The next step in the work for RI1 was moving from the ideation into development and I wanted to start by testing out some of the ideas through sketches and drawing out some quick wireframes. Gareth on the webinar suggested adapting the Pomodoro technique (more information on what this is at the bottom of this blogpost) and devoting one segment to each idea and then moving on to the next one. This was my first time intentionally working in a more agile way and in the end an entire pomodoro for each idea was too long as the technique encouraged me to not be too precious and move quickly through the ideas. Not only that but by fleshing them beyond an abstract idea from the ideation phase I could understand how much work each idea entailed and see which one excited me the most.

As a result I discarded both the game ideas, Secrets Sieve and New Truths pictured below.

As well as an idea for an app that stored whatever memos you put into it for a random amount of time and would then empty and delete the data forever called Secrets Jar.
